"Road to the Medicine Wheel" is an original 10x10 acrylic painting done on cradeled birch panel (frame around the back for easy hanging). This is a one-of-a-kind painting. 
 
The Medicine Wheel, located on Medicine Mountain in the Big Horn National Forrest is a sacred site that was the destination of many pilgrimages over the centuries. Because of its alignment with the stars, it holds special meaning to Native groups as well as the hundreds of people who visit today, like myself.

The spot I would usually camp up in the Big Horns had teepee rings. It was probably the last stop before reaching the medicine wheel since it was just a few miles away. These mountains really pulled me in… you can’t help but feel the rich history when you are there! Walking up to the wheel was a special experience I will always remember.
